When not active on behalf of his clients, Marvin pursues physical activities including running, weightlifting, and skydiving. He played rugby at the University of California, Riverside, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. He holds a 1st-dan black belt in Tae-kwon do. His community involvement includes Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego County.
